Alissa is the founder and executive director of NYC Street Theater. She is a musical theater graduate from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy with a focus in Shakespeare and classical ballet. Alissa is the founder and executive director of NYC Street Theater. She is a musical theater graduate from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy with a focus in Shakespeare and classical ballet. Some of her favorite regional credits include Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet”, and Beatrice in “Much Ado About Nothing”, as well as choreographing and assistant directing her community college’s production of “West Side Story”. She was a 2018 Wisconsin State Jerry Award winner for her portrayal of Judy Bernly in “9 to 5: The Musical “. One thing led to another and she moved to NYC to obtain her BFA in Musical Theater. Maria is thrilled to join NYC Street Theatre as their Arts Administrative Intern. During this difficult season she feels grateful to be back working in the arts and is excited to be a part of this company’s growth!

With professional experience on and off stage, Maria set to hone her creative and administrative skills into a fulfilling career in the arts. Since graduating from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Dance, Maria has been exploring any and all opportunities within the theatre industry. In 2016, Maria relocated to New York City pursuing performance on stage, backstage, and corporately.
Maria is also a dedicated dance instructor, choreographer, and personal trainer.
